The JCC is proud to announce that Sheri Gittins Vorenberg has been selected as the new Early Childhood Director of the JCC’s New Albany program.
Originally from Miami Florida, Sheri has a B.A. in Education from Anderson University in Indiana. Sheri brings 19 years of teaching experience to the position including four years at the JCC New Albany. In addition to teaching, Sheri was the owner and operator of Super Suppers, a unique business venture that assists working parents in meal preparation.
As an educator in the community, Sheri has led workshops representing Columbus Public Schools that integrated community involvement and citizenship into the classroom curriculum. One of her goals in her new position is to increase community involvement with the JCC New Albany’s early childhood program. She is also a published author of children’s activity books and had a leadership role on community in- service workshops and committees.
Sheri, husband Dan and children Tyler and Courtney live in Gahanna. When she is not cheering on the children during their many athletic activities, Sheri enjoys golf, playing music, and cooking.
“I look forward to working with the teachers, parents and children at the JCC New Albany school”, said Vorenberg. For more information about the JCC New Albany programming and services, contact Sheri at 855-4885 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
