Are you still looking for an after school program to take care of your after-school worries? Kaleidoscope is a State of Ohio licensed, recreational based, Jewish after school program. Held weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m., Kaleidoscope gives kids the opportunity to develop new interests and friendships in a secure and supportive environment. (Children also may be signed up for a combination of days.)
"Children choose from a variety of daily activities including sports, art, swimming, science, movies, games, and more," said Cori Bloch, Kaleidoscope director. "Children also will be supervised and helped with homework during our homework time."
Bloch added that the JCC provides staff supervised staff transportation from Berwick and the three Bexley elementary schools. "We also pick up children at Columbus Torah Academy and Columbus Academy bus stops. This service is included in your tuition," she said. Children at Columbus Jewish Day School may participate in Kaleidoscope at JCC New Albany, or be picked up by the JCC bus to attend Kaleidoscope at the College Avenue location.
Bloch also noted a referral bonus for current Kaleidoscope families. "If you have a friend that wants to come to Kaleidoscope, please let us know! If they sign up, we will take $25 off that month's tuition for you," she said.
