High School Students to Hear Holocaust Story

Students from Eastmoor Academy High School will attend a viewing of the movie Paper Clips at the JCC on April 7, followed by a talk with Holocaust Survivor Murray Ebner and a Kosher lunch prepared by Chef Toney Robertson. "Due to the students' overwhelming positive response and interest in this issue, the entire sophomore class of Eastmoor Academy - about 175 students - will be participating," said Avram Kluger, Assistant Vice President of Community Service at the Columbus Jewish Federation, and coordinator of the event. "Their teacher said the students' grades have gone up during this section, and they have really responded amazingly to the subject matter." This is the second time in recent months the film has been shown to high school students as a cooperative project between the Columbus Jewish Film Festival and the Federation's Holocaust Education Committee. Previously, the film was shown to students at Mifflin Middle School.
