Are you ready for the summer season? New Albany's Camp Shemesh and Camp Yeladim are looking forward to:

  • A new location - New Albany, Camp Shemesh and Yeladim will be held this year at Franklin United Brethren Church at 7171 Central College Rd. in New Albany.
  • New specialty camps - We're working on adding a drama camp for four to seven-year-olds who might like to enjoy some "Fairytale Theatre" for a two-week, fun-filled exploration of set design, costumes, props and, of course, a mini-production! (I will have a registration to you for your little drama kings and queens very very soon!)
  • Also, new field trips and daily activities, and much, much more!

The facility at Franklin United church provides us with great indoor and outdoor options while we're waiting on our new home to be finished, and with a consistent group of teachers who are fully committed to providing your child with a fun, safe, exciting summer, you don't want to miss out on any of the fun we'll have this summer at the JCC Summer Camps!

After all, what could be more fun than spending the summer with all of your friends having fun in the sun? Check out the JCC Summer Camp website or give us a call for more information!

Spring Art Show Set for May 3

Mark your calendars now for the JCC New Albany Preschool Spring Art Show Event on Sunday, May 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hayley Gallery, 45 2nd St., New Albany.

While the children are enjoying a Pajama Party at the school (free babysitting), you will get to go to an adult event at the Hayley Gallery with wine and appetizers. The cost is $15 per person.

At the Gallery you will find candid black-and-white pictures of your child playing on the playground, which will be available for purchase and also see the classroom group art projects the kids have made. This event will benefit the new playground at the "new" JCC Preschool in New Albany.

If you would like to help with the art show event or with classroom art projects, contact Kim Comisar at (614) 939-0269 or Laura Weiser at (614) 440-8338.
