Marc Rossio
Marc Rossio, aka "The Marvelous Toy," will be headlining a special concert to benefit the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest teens, on Sunday, June 14, at the JCC.
"Marc has generously donated his time to perform at the show, as well as coordinate everything that will be going into its preparation," said Samara Chodosh, JCC Maccabi ArtsFest coordinator. "Not only will Marc be performing some of his music that is oriented toward teens, he also is coordinating the talent show portion of the show that will feature the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest teens."
Tickets for the benefit concert are $5 each, or $18 per family. All proceeds will benefit the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest teens.
JCC Maccabi ArtsFest is designed to inspire Jewish teens, entering 8th to 12th grades, through a dynamic combination of workshop, performance, exhibition, recognition of excellence, community service, social activities, and fun. Teens develop their individuality through the medium of artistic expression while strengthening their bonds to their Jewish heritage, community and Israel.
The first Columbus delegation will be in Orange County from Sunday, Aug. 9 through Friday, Aug. 14. Freshman Beth Weisbach said, "I am excited to go to California for a week to do amazing things!" She will be joined on the trip by Miriam Geiger, Mitch McGuire, Hannah Rossio, Samantha Sudai, and Mimi Wilhelm.
In addition, scholarship funds are being sought to enable several teens to attend. All donor names will be recognized on Columbus' ArtsFest t-shirt.
