A Melton Mini-School class in progress.
After two years of studying together, the 22nd graduating class of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School in Columbus will gather together with their families at the JCC for their graduation ceremony on June 9.
Those receiving their diplomas will be Patricia Gold, Sheryl Kozberg, Alice Kramer, Victoria Lackey, Faye Lichtenstein, James Russell, Jennifer Russell, Mitchell Snay, Carol Zelizer Stoff, Tatyana Yassenov and Pam Young.
They are part of 3,000 Mini-School students in 60 sites around the world attending graduation ceremonies this month. The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, a project of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is the largest pluralistic adult Jewish education network in the world.
"The evening is a culmination of two years of enriching study. The graduates agree that this is not an end to their study, but a significant entry into lifelong Jewish study," said Dana Horowitz, Mini-School Director. "The Mini-School offers graduate courses and with Jewish learning now a way of life for them, they look forward to these new study opportunities that the school has to offer."
