JET Holds Teen Awards Night

JET

On Wednesday, May 27, nearly 100 Jewish teens and their families attended the third annual Jewish Experiences for Teens (JET) Teen Awards night. These teens came from all over Columbus, and represented over 10 different Jewish teen organizations. The evening began with the attendants enjoying a kosher Chinese dinner, followed by presentations from local youth directors.

"It was wonderful to see all of the teens together," said Samara Chodosh, JET director. "Youth directors shared awards that individuals and chapters have received on a national level, and it is clear what great Jewish teen leaders Columbus has."

The essay winners were: First, Samantha Levy; Second, Mimi Wilhelm; Third, Miriam Geiger; and Fourth, Julie Ecker. Geiger also won first place in the artwork category. All teens received a cash prize.
