Film Festival Moves to Fall 2010

 

By popular demand, the steering committee of the Columbus Jewish Film Festival has decided to move the Festival from the spring to the fall of 2010. In addition, June Frankel has agreed to serve with Carole Genhsaft as co-chair of the Festival.

Gallery Players Opens 61st Season on Oct. 17 with Talley's Folly

 

Talley's Folly is set in an old boathouse near rural Lebanon, Missouri in 1944, and is a romantic comedy following the characters Matt Friedman (played by Matt Hermes of Columbus) and Sally Talley (played by H. Bronwynn Hopton of Worthington). Sally is from a conservative, small-town, wealthy Protestant family, and Matt is a Jewish accountant eleven years older than Sally.

Take a Trip Through Art, History and Community

 

Join the New Horizons 60+ group for a trip through Art, History, and Community, on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The trip includes stops at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Temple Tifereth Israel, and the Maltz Museum of Jewish History in Cleveland. The trip, which is open to all adults, departs the JCC at 8 a.m., and returns at approximately 8 p.m.
