CPR for Professional Rescuer Course Rescheduled

Lifeguard training

The JCC Aquatics Department has rescheduled its course on "CPR for the Professional Rescuer." The course now will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 3.

"We decided to offer this course because, in the past, we have offered only the Lay Responder course - which is a very different course," said Phil Sobers, JCC Aquatics Director. "The lifeguards at the JCC must be certified as professional rescuers to keep their certification."

Sobers indicated that no challenge will take place as the course presents all new materials.

Please note: A CPR class will be offered to anyone interested in the community on Sunday, May 11, from 3:30 to 8 p.m.
