Parent-Child Basketball Tourney is Huge Success!

The JCC held its annual Parent/Child Basketball Tournament on Sunday, March 2, with 29 teams participating in four grade divisions: 3rd Grade, 4th through 6th Grades, Junior High, and High School. The first and second place teams are pictured at right. They are, left to right:

• Top Photo 4th-6th Grade Division, Cole and Tom Heilman, 1st place; Nathan and Rachel Williams, 2nd place.
• Middle Photo Junior High Division, Juan and Trey King, 1st place; and Abram and Eric Schottenstein, 2nd place.
• Bottom Photo High School Division, Aaron and David Rosenfeld, 2nd place; and Nathan and Ben Williams, 1st place.
• Not pictured 3rd Grade Division, Simon and Kevin Kroos, 1st place; Andrew Meyers and Adam Snyder, 2nd place.

In the spirit of the NCCA Tournament, every team was given a college team name and wore the colors of that team for the tournament," said Jeanna Brownlee, JCC Recreation and Wellness director. "Each team played a couple of games in pool play and then was seeded in a single elimination tournament based on their records and points allowed in the games. Trophies were given to the winners and runner ups of each division."
