
Mim Chenfeld, aka "The Queen of Fun"
The JCC Preschools' own Mim Chenfeld will be a featured presenter at the 24th Annual Humor Workshop at Columbus State Community College on Friday, May 16. She will be conducting a seminar based on the theme of "Toot Your Own Horn: Humor, Self-Esteem, Harmony & Teamwork," for the workshop designed for mental health and business professionals. Mim's seminar is scheduled for 1:40 to 2 p.m. In addition, she will be joining Arnett Howard in the workshop's opening festivities from 8:50 to 9:20 a.m.
For the past 46 years, Mim has taught teachers, parents and children of all ages throughout the U.S. and in Canada and Taiwan. She is the author of Teaching in the Key of Life (NAEYC), and Teaching By Heart (Redleaf Press), as well as many articles, stories and poems. She has taught in numerous schools and programs in Columbus, including the JCC College Avenue Preschool. Mim says that her favorite student evaluation is from a six-year-old boy who dubbed her "The Queen of Fun!"
