The 2008 Baby What A Deal sale drew many bargain hunters to the JCC.
Hundreds of bargain hunters attended the JCC College Avenue Preschool Early Childhood Parent Committee's "Baby What a Deal!" sale on May 18 at the JCC.
The event - designed especially for new mommies and kids - is an annual event that sells gently used items for kids, including clothing (size 7 and under), bedding, toys, maternity wear, books, and furniture.
Committee member Rachel Gordon Lichten noted the sale is a "mitzvah all around. It gives the people donating the merchandise a chance to clear out their basements and feel good knowing that the stuff will be used and enjoyed again. For the people who are shopping, they can get really good quality merchandise at a tiny fraction of its cost. Last, everything left over is going to women and children who really need it and simply can't afford to buy it."
Proceeds will support the children and teachers of the JCC College Avenue's Early Childhood Program. To volunteer for the 2009 event, contact Taryn Terwilliger at (614) 559-6295.

The JCC College Avenue Preschool Family Cookbooks, full of delicious recipes for you and your family, are on sale in the preschool office. The cost is $18 for one book or $50 for three, with checks made payable to the Early Childhood Parent Committee. Hurry! They're going fast!
