In April, the JCC was proud to host Israeli artist David Moss during a week-long artist-in-residency. The David Moss: Embellishing Tradition residency and exhibition was the winner of the 2008 Rabbi Nathan and Sylvia Gaynor Jewish Cultural Award at the 2008 JCC Annual Meeting on May 27.
Rena Vesler presented the award to Betty and Michael Klapper, who were instrumental in bringing David to Columbus and organizing his lectures before several school groups and hundreds of people from a variety of backgrounds and interests, as well as mounting the month-long exhibition of his works at the JCC.
