Annual Meeting
a Chance to Celebrate and Remember
By Carol Folkerth
Earlier this week, the JCC held its annual meeting, and it was a thrill to be able to celebrate another great year for the JCC and the 25th anniversary of the building.
Some of you might think, "Ah, it's just a building! What's to celebrate?" I beg to differ.
For many members and staff, this building is our home. It educates and cares for our most precious gifts - our children; it provides
a haven for those who, over an excellent hot kosher lunch, find friendships and support; it is the center of Jewish activity for the community - we just
had hundreds celebrating Israel's 60th birthday; it hourses our state-of-the-art way to stay healthy; the exploration of our cultural heritage
and is a fun place to meet and make friends.
This building is dear to us because of what goes on inside. And we have a lot to celebrate.
