Gallery Players, the oldest community theater group in central Ohio, will celebrate its 60th season on Oct. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the JCC. Co-chairs of the celebration are Pam Scheer and Rena Vesler.
"The theme of the event is 'A Tribute to Our First 60 Years'," said Vesler. "We hope to reminisce about the warm moments, the laughs and the music with friends, old and new; we'll have hearty hors d'oeuvres and elegant desserts for people to enjoy while they browse our gallery of memories and watch audio-visual presentations."
The evening's grand finale will be a theatrical tribute to some of Gallery Players' greatest moments so far, she added.
Vesler added that she and Scheer still are searching for additional photos. "We don't always have all of the photos taken during a certain production, so we're looking for more," she said.
If interested in assisting with the project, contact Vesler at rena@columbus.rr.com or Scheer at (614) 231-3401. For more information on the upcoming Gallery Players season, visit the Gallery Players website or call (614) 559-6248.
