The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School held its commencement ceremony on June 3 at the JCC, with 16 graduating from the two-year course.

Those graduating were Nancy Barton, Peggy Berger, Beth Berman, Carol Glassman, Rebecca Gurk, Dana Horowitz, Beth Josolowitz, Matthew Kennedy, Victoria Lackey, Nancy Nathans, Helene Paul, Jo Robbins, Malcolm Robbins, Barbara Shapiro, Pam Sites and Matt Younger.

"There are so many things I have loved about being a Melton student - being part of a group of people who can learn together in a non-judgmental way, the class diversity, teachers who share a wealth of knowlegde and seem to answer anything that comes their way," said Horowitz, who also was named the new Adult Mini-School director in April. "And Columbus is truly blessed to have such gifted teachers as Matt Goldish, Debbie Goodman and Rabbi Cary Kozberg."

Registration for fall classes is open now. Classes start Sept. 9. For information about the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School or to register for classes, contact Mini-School Coordinator Dana Horowitz at (614) 559-6238 or minischool@columbusjcc.org.
