What is it about the JCC that makes members want to renew their memberships year after year? At the JCC's Annual Meeting, those who have had continuous JCC membership for 25 years or more were recognized and given a blue-and-white t-shirt with the 25th Anniversary logo imprinted on it. Recently, we had a chance to ask them this question.
"The JCC is an important part of my life artistically and physically," said Irene Braverman. "I have been able to express myself as an actress through Gallery Players, and keep myself healthy through my exercise at the JCC. "I was thrilled to receive my t-shirt at the Annual meeting and I wear it proudly!"
JCC member Wendy Cohen said, "The JCC has been a major part of my life since moving to Columbus in the seventies. I have been involved with many programs throughout the years. My children have grown up at the center; in preschool, summer camp, Macabbi. My husband, Rob, and I were in the first class of the Melton Mini School. We even took graduate classes! Today I continue to use the JCC on a regular basis. I am proud to be recognized as a long term member of the Jewish Center and enjoy wearing the 25th Anniversary t-shirt when I work out. I look forward to remaining a part of the JCC family."
If you were not able to attend the annual meeting, we still have a t-shirt for you! Stop by the Membership Office and pick up your t-shirt today.
