JCC Resumes Synagogue Partnership Program

After a brief summer hiatus, the JCC is resuming its Synagogue Partnership Program, which offers synagogue members a monthlong general membership to the JCC during the synagogue's partnership month, plus additional opportunities to sample other JCC programming. The synagogue partner for Aug. 11 through Sept. 11 is Congregation Tifereth Israel.

Between these dates, Tifereth Israel members who are not currently JCC members may sign up for a free, one-month general membership. Those who already are members (18 years and older) also will receive an upgrade to the Deluxe Women's or Men's Health Centers. Tifereth Israel members who join the JCC as general members during the Partnership month will receive 10 percent off their general membership dues for the first year. (Discount does not apply once the Partnership month ends.)

Partnership rograms being planned for August include:

  • A Tifereth Israel picnic at the JCC on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. JCC Fitness staff will offer a free exercise class and the newly renovated softball fields will be available for a pick up softball game. In addition, information will be distributed at the picnic regarding the JCC/Synagogue Partnership Program, and JCC staff will be available to answer additional questions.

  • Cantor Jack Chomsky will sing at a New Horizons 60+ program on Friday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m..

  • Rabbi Harold Berman will speak on Friday, Aug. 22, at 11:15 a.m. during a pre-lunch program for the New Horizons 60+ Group.
