AQUATICS
Aquatics Director
The JCC is conducting a nationwide search for an Aquatics Director. The successful candidate must demonstrate enthusiasm for all aspects of the Aquatics Field, and will supervise three swimming pools, lifeguards and WSI’s; instruct lifeguard certification classes and CPR/AED/First Aid classes; develop and manage the Aquatics Department’s budget; grow current programs while developing new programs, and communicate openly with members, parents, committees, staff and supervisor. Required qualifications include: a BA/BS in Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education, or any related field, plus certification as a Lifeguard Instructor, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), and Aquatic Exercise. Prior programming, instructing, budgeting and supervising experience, as well as working with youth and adults, is preferred. Knowledge of all pool safety rules for youth and adults, as well as knowledge of pool maintenance and chamicals; the ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Exel, etc., and excellent customer service skills also are preferred. Lifeguards and Swim Instructors
Openings for part time lifeguards and water safety instructors are available at the JCC. Anyone with daytime availability preferred. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Early Childhood Site Director, New Albany
The JCC is conducting a nationwide search for an ECE Director for our New Albany Preschool.
The NAP Site Director reports to the JCC ECE Director. Required qualifications include: BA/BS in Early Childhood, Elementary Education or Child Development (Masters Preferred), a thorough knowledge of Jewish customs and culture, and 3 to 5 years of professional experience which include both teaching and supervisory activities. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to work effectively with, and provide support to, those who implement the program; strong written and oral communication skills; knowledge of community resources; and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
The ECE NAP Site Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations of the NAP Early Childhood Education programs including: supervision and evaluation of staff; site budget; communication with parents; planning and implementing family and Judaic programs, and fulfilling the Mission of the JCC.
