SUMMER CAMP



• The JCC is looking for energetic people who love working with kids to serve as camp counselors, special needs camp counselors, lifeguards, maintenance staff, specialists and various sporting instructors at the JCC, located at 1125 College Avenue, at the JCC's Hoover Reservoir site in Westerville, and at the JCC's Camp Shemesh, located at the Northeast Jewish Community Campus, 150 E. Granville Rd., New Albany. The JCC hires the highest quality of experienced staff members - from Unit Heads to Junior Counselors. Many JCC camp staff return for multiple seasons, and all staff are selected through an interview process which examines education, professional training, prior camp experience and the ability to work with children. Camp staff participate in an orientation week and ongoing training during the summer. This year's orientation is scheduled June 7-11. Training includes learning to work with children in groups, first aid/safety training and special programming/skills workshops. Successful candidate will have nationally recognized Mat Pilates certification, as well as either nationally recognized group exercise instructor or personal trainer certification.
