Looking to Get Involved in Northwest or Northeast Columbus?
J-Reach provides inclusive, low-barrier programming to the Northwest and Northeast communities, often in public space settings.
J-Reach is an Outreach initiative of the JCC of Greater Columbus and the Columbus Jewish Federation. Outreach brings Jewish programming to outlying suburbs – rather than expecting those from different parts of town to travel to Bexley for Jewish programming. J-Reach focuses on creating and maintaining a strong Jewish identity for residents of Northwest and Northeast Columbus. Programs are open to all individuals and families seeking involvement in Jewish life.
J-Reach plans programs for intermarried couples and families, LGBT community members, adults, children & youth, etc.
For more information about how to get involved with J-Reach, or to share ideas, contact our Outreach Director, Becca Nitzberg, at (614)559.6215 or bnitzberg@columbusjcc.org
J-Reach is on facebook! Find and friend us at www.facebook.com/JReachColumbus to see what we’re up to.
J-Reach E-Newsletters
Did you know that our Outreach Director sends out two separate E-Newsletters each month to both Northwest and Northeast Columbus-area residents? The J-Reach Newsletter is the best place to learn about Jewish programs in NW or NE Columbus. The newsletter contains upcoming programs – by any Jewish agency or organization as well as large community-wide events that may be of interest to Jewish residents.

Northwest Programming
While the JCC has a Northwest Columbus site housing our preschool, J-Reach is constantly looking for additional public spaces to house events. These events are educational, family-friendly, and/or centered on Jewish holidays and customs. J-Reach programs in the Northwest are shown on the JCC Calendar of Events in purple.
Northeast Programming
Many J-Reach programs are held at JCC New Albany. This new facility offers a meeting space, social gathering space, and a gymnasium. Programs are open to the community regardless of JCC membership. J-Reach programs in the Northeast are shown on the JCC Calendar of Events in mustard yellow.
