SPORTS SPECTACULAR 2009
Each fall, the Columbus Jewish community celebrates the achievements of its adult athletes in a special event known as Sports Spectacular that is a day of sports and camaraderie as well as being a fundraiser.

The 2009 Sports Spectacular golf and tennis outing will be held Monday, Aug. 17 at the Jefferson Country Club, 7271 Jefferson Meadows Drive, Blacklick. Set on nearly 200 acres, the 18-hole course was designed in 1992 by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and has become known as one of the finest courses in the area. The links style front nine uses Scottish design principles and strongly defined shot values. The second nine takes advantages of the natural terrain with a classic American design.

In addition to the golf outing, Sports Spectacular also features the induction of an outstanding Central Ohio athlete or coach who have accomplished extraordinary achievements in sports and made significant contributions to society through sports into the JCC's Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. The Induction ceremony will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16.

- I Want My JCC!"
Gala is the JCC's most visible and spectacular fundraising event that helps fund essential JCC services, while providing an enjoyable evening of entertainment and socializing to attendees of all backgrounds.

As the JCC's most popular fundraising event, the Gala is held at the JCC - the place where funds from the Gala make such a huge difference in the lives of 120,000 people every year. Even more so in this difficult financial time, the JCC needs community support to help provide critical programs to those who otherwise may not be able to affort it.
