Campers are having an incredible time this summer at Camp Hoover while they canoe, paddle boat, kayak, swim, explore the ropes course, zip-line, and climb to the top of the climbing wall. Luckily for our members, you don’t have to be a camper to take advantage of Hoover and have the same fun they’re having!
On Sunday, July 8, JCC members came out to Camp Hoover to enjoy the first of two Hoover Sundays. Located on 28 acres of rustic woodland bordering Hoover Reservoir, Camp Hoover features beautiful woods, boating docks, a high ropes course, swimming pool, pavilion, basketball court, bike trails, athletic fields, an archery range, and an art area. Members who attended swam in the pool, took boats into the water, climbed and had a blast on the zip line.
If you missed the first Hoover Sunday, have no fear. From 12-5pm on Sunday, August 12 there will be an end of summer party hosted at Camp Hoover. Food, music, pool, boats, and ropes will all be open for all JCC members to enjoy. This is a free event for JCC members and $5 for non-members (children under 2 are free).
