Programs & Activities

Lunch Program

In conjunction with LifeCare Alliance, the JCC provides individuals over 60 with a hot, kosher meal Monday through Friday. The program is the only Kosher LifeCare Alliance Dining Facility in Central Ohio. A nutritional meal is prepared, and served daily on site to all seniors who are interested. This lunch program is open to both members and non-members of the JCC. About 1,000 meals are served from our dining center each month with a total of nearly 13,000 meals a year. Our lunch program provides a comfortable and friendly social environment with weekly entertainment and educational programming. Participants are required to RSVP by noon one day in advance, and a donation of $1.50 is suggested. Please call Shana at 614.559.6214 or the front desk at 614.231.2731 to make a reservation.

Health Education

Several times a month the JCC presents speakers on different health topics, free of charge. Past topics have included Speech and Hearing, Personal Safety and Security, Keeping Your Balance, Fearless Falling, The Benefits of Walking, Medicare Updates, Eye Health, and The Benefits of Eating Locally.

Trips & Programming

In addition to the programming we coordinate at the JCC, we periodically go on organized outings. These outings include transportation and a box lunch and are priced individually. We have recently been on a docent led tour of the Columbus Museum of Art, the Supreme Court Building, and The Ohio Statehouse. The JCC offers afternoon movie programs, Lunch and Learns with a light lunch and dynamic speaker, and community cultural events.

Do you have questions? Ideas for a trip or program? Please be in touch anytime and we look forward to seeing you at the JCC.
