The Film

In this warmly affecting cross-generational melodrama, a middle-aged gay American writer numbed by tragedy finds solace in the company of a younger Israeli man. In Tel Aviv to research his latest travelogue, Michael (John Benjamin Hickey) sublets an apartment from handsome filmmaking student Tomer, who offers to show him around. The age and personality chasm between the two lend charm and humor to their odd-couple dynamic. They form an undeniable connection that will transform both of their lives in unexpected ways.
