Y’Mai Limud Days Of Learning Featuring Return of Debbie Goodman

The JCC and the Florence Melton School of Adult Learning are pleased to welcome former JCC Director of Jewish Life and Learning Debbie Goodman back to Columbus for a series of special learning engagements, November 18 through 19.

On Monday, November 18 at 10 am at the JCC, Goodman will speak on the topic of “Intergenerational Jewish Dialogues,” which will cost JCC members $10 and non-members $15.

That evening, at 7:30 pm at the JCC, Goodman will lead a talk titled, “Changing Perceptions of the Heroic Jewish Life:  Reflections on Chanukah,” which will cost $8 for members and $10 for non-members.

A Community Professionals Breakfast will take place at 8 am at the JCC on Tuesday, November 19. The topic of the breakfast will be “Are We Making a Difference?” and is open to all professionals working in the Jewish community.

Finally, on Tuesday, November 19 at 11:30 am at the JCC New Albany, Goodman will lead a Lunch and Learn Melton class. Cost is $10 members / $15 non-members and a boxed lunch will be provided.

Goodman is currently the director of the Jewish Life and Learning department of the Denver JCC. She has her Master’s in Theological Studies from the Harvard Divinity School and a Master’s in Jewish Education from Spertus College in Chicago and her Bachelor’s from the University of Colorado.
