Join the Staff

The JCC is looking for energetic people who love working with kids to work as camp counselors, special needs camp counselors, lifeguards, maintenance staff, specialists and various sporting instructors at the JCC, 1125 College Avenue, at the JCC's Hoover Reservoir site in Westerville and at the JCC's Camp Shemesh, located at the JCC New Albany at the Columbus Jewish Day School.

The JCC hires the highest quality of experienced staff members – from Unit Heads to Junior Counselors. Many JCC camp staff return for multiple seasons, and all staff are selected through an interview process which examines education, professional training, prior camp experience and the ability to work with children.

Camp staff participate in an orientation week and ongoing training during the summer. This year's orientation is scheduled from June 11 - 15. Training includes learning to work with children in groups, first aid/safety training and special programming/skills workshops.
