Pilates strengthens the core, stretches the body and corrects posture through mindful breathing and disciplined movements. Clients gain flexibility, improve spinal alignment, reduce stress, and develop a healthier life and vibrant spirit.

The Pilates Reformer is a specially designed piece of equipment which allows for over 200 exercises designed to tone and lengthen muscles. Using springs and pulleys to increase the work load and assist with stretching and strengthening, Reformer classes are different from traditional mat Pilates because they work the whole body, taking the dynamic workout to a whole new level. Great for all fitness levels from beginners to athletes.

The JCC’s Ignite Training Studio is a private room where you can work with your personal trainer utilizing the Queenax Functional Fitness Cage plus much more to get a full body workout. There are all kinds of ways to add and remove equipment to strengthen the muscles you use in your everyday life. This room allows you the privacy to work alone with your trainer and not be distracted by other members.

Carlie started her fitness career in 2006 as trainer and group fitness instructor at the OSU RPAC while in college. Post-graduation she worked at a Medical Fitness Center in Cincinnati before moving back to Columbus to work at the JCC in 2012. She works with a variety of clientele from the elite high school/college athlete to the severely obese to those with chronic health conditions. Carlie enjoys working with diverse clientele and staying on the forefront of the trends of the fitness industry.

Megan Davis Bushway

Megan first discovered Pilates through her love of movement and dance. She began teaching Pilates in 2015 and has since worked with a range of individuals including dancers, athletes, active agers, and those with various injuries. Megan loves to build upon the Classical Mat and Reformer work to meet the needs of everybody. She’s passionate about the healing nature of movement, and offers practices that restore, challenge, and strengthen your body.

Her personal health journey led her to studying nutrition and seeking holistic health solutions. As a Nutrition Health Coach she offers clients tools, guidance, support and accountability in helping them reach their health and wellness goals through nutrition and lifestyle changes. Her expertise is in the area of weight loss and overall wellness. Lorrie is dedicated to leading her clients toward reaching their health and wellness goals; she is passionate about helping others be and feel their best!

Joyce meets clients at their level in order to formulate a plan to achieve their goals. She teaches efficient movement techniques that clients can apply throughout their lives. Joyce pushes people outside their comfort zone to maximize strength and flexibility.

Nick has been coaching basketball since he graduated from Ohio Wesleyan in 2015, and has been a NCSF Certified Personal Trainer since August 2019. He is currently an Assistant Men’s Basketball and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Capital University. Nick has worked with players of all ages, from youth to collegiate level players, and is passionate about guiding players through the skill and physical development process and helping them reach their potential.

Zach Warner

Zach has been with Ohio State Sports Medicine since 2019 at Outpatient Care Gahanna and now serves as a part-time PT at the JCC. He enjoys treating all types of orthopedic patients, ranging for high level athletes to older adults and everything in between. Zach is the leader of the knee outcome team at Gahanna and sees a large number of knee patients including complex post-operative patients, but he loves treating all body parts that a therapy clinic serves. As a former athlete, Zach has a passion of getting his patients back to the activities they love and would love to serve you however he can.

Kyle Smith

Kyle began his physical therapy career with The Ohio State University in 2018 at the Outpatient Care Gahanna location and now serves as the primary PT at the JCC. He treats a variety of orthopedic conditions and injuries, both operative and non-operative, and works with patients of all ages and backgrounds. He is part of the upper extremity team at OSU and has a passion for treating the overhead athlete. Kyle takes pride in getting his patients back to pain-free movement and back to performing the activities they love.
