Youth ARTISTIC SWIM
Formerly known as synchronized swimming, Artistic Swimming offers the opportunity to learn new swim skills while increasing confidence & balance and get a great workout while learning to dance in the water. Artistic swimming is a hybrid form of swimming, gymnastics, and dance consisting of swimmers performing a synchronized routine of complex and dynamic underwater movements (known as figures) and arm movements in the water accompanied by music.
Artistic swimming coach Kellagh Frank is the Assistant Aquatics Director here at the J. She has had a passion for swimming her whole life. She began Artistic Swimming at 7-years-old and competed locally, regionally, and nationally until she was 16, swimming for the Ohio Coralinas. She is now in her seventh season coaching for the same club as a level 3 coach with USAAS as well as a level 1 judge.

Artistic Swim Summer Team
For ages 5 to 13
Swimmers will train an original routine together, and compete againsst other local teams in August. Learn new skills, improve technique, and have fun! All experience levels encouraged to join.
Led by JCC Asst. Aquatics Director and Ohio Coralinas Coach Kellagh Frank. Times will be assigned by coaches.

JCC Sea Stars Swim Team
Prepare for competitive swim by building skills, stamina, and friendships through weekly coached practices focused on strokes, starts, finishes, and relays.

Summer Swim Team
For ages 5 to 13
Swimmers will train together and compete against other local teams in August. Led by JCC Asst. Aquatics Director and Ohio Coralinas coach Kellagh Frank. Times will be assigned by coaches. Swimmers must be able to pass the deep-end test and have a basic understanding of front crawl, breaststroke, and backstroke.

Jake Zuckerman, Swim team coach
Coach Jake joins the JCC as our new Head Swim Team Coach, where he will lead the transition of our pre-competitive youth team into a year-round competitive program and help launch our new adult Masters swim team.
Originally from Highland Park, Illinois, Jake began swimming in high school after a knee injury ended his hockey career. He went on to swim at the NCAA Division III level at Oberlin College, specializing in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle, and setting several pool and conference records along the way.
Inspired by his own coach, who built a thriving club program from the ground up, Jake is passionate about creating opportunities for both youth and adult swimmers to grow their skills, confidence, and love for the sport. Outside the pool, Jake continues to challenge himself as a marathoner and triathlete, and he’s excited to grow our competitive swim community here at the J.
