Strongher teen/Tween training
StrongHER Teen Training is a fun and empowering group training for high-school girls to build strength, confidence, and endurance. Each session includes strength training and cardio exercises in a supportive and motivating environment. With expert coaching and a focus on proper form, you’ll leave feeling stronger and energized! Ages 14-19

weightlifting fundamentals
This beginner-friendly weightlifting fundamentals class teaches proper technique, form, and safety for key lifts like squats, deadlifts, and presses. You’ll build strength and confidence while learning how to use barbells, dumbbells, and other equipment effectively. Perfect for those new to weightlifting or looking to refine their skills.

Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an exercise that involves a series of slow gentle physical movements, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. Participants will learn movements of Yang Style Tai Chi. Instructed by Mark Henry.

DANCE PROGRAMS
This class is going to go through the basics of tap dancing. Tap dancing sharpens reflexes, and improves memory and coordination. Participants must have their owntap shoes.
Students will learn a variety of elegant and rhythmic dances. Styles taught in the past include Tango, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, & Waltz. Expert instructors guide participants through proper footwork, posture, and partnering techniques, ensuring a fulfilling dance experience for all skill levels.
You do not need a partner to participate.
Belly dancing is a torso-driven dance with emphasis on movement of the hips. This class will work your abs and teach you the control and movement needed for belly dancing. It is a low-impact total body workout and is great for any fitness level. A belly dancing scarf is included with this class.

This tradition emphasizes the holistic development of individuals through a series of postures that unify body, mind, and spirit. In this beginner’s class, students will receive personalized guidance and support to enhance their strength, balance, and flexibility. No prior experience is necessary.
This will be an intense boxing-based class that uses H.I.I.T – High Intensity Interval Training. Our boxing instructor will lead you through rounds of different punches and combos. You will receive a high level of cardio, muscle strength training and use quick reflexes. This class will utilize the punching bags, boxing mitts and weight equipment. No boxing gloves required but recommended.
This introduction to self defense, boxing and martial arts class is open to JCC Members age 16+. Students will learn situational awareness, de-escalation techniques, what you should carry for safety, strikes for self-defense, escape
techniques for common attacks and practicing the skills.
Small group training for moms of children aged 5 and under. Led by a fellow mom, enjoy invigorating workouts in a welcoming environment. Strengthen, sweat, and bond with other mothers while prioritizing your well-being.
Safely embrace poses and breathwork for childbirth prep. Connect with other moms-to-be, alleviate discomforts, and find relaxation.

People of all ages fall. However, as we age, falls can have more serious consequences. Increasing your daily physical activity and improving your strength, balance, and endurance can reduce the risk of suffering an injury due to a fall. This course will provide education regarding fall risk factors and modifications, ways to increase your daily physical activity, how to safely get up from the floor, and tools to prepare for a fall. This course will include various types of exercise, including stretching,
strengthening, balance, and aerobics, and all participants will leave with tools to continue to be active at home.

In the Intermediate class, you will learn advanced hand and footwork as well as more complicated movements. Your balance will be taken to another level. Fluid motion and intentional movements will perfect the basic techniques you learned in the fundamentals class. The Intermediate Tai Chi class will also take you deeper into the cognitive aspects of Tai Chi, taking you through more in-depth meditation and breath control techniques.
Throughout this Master Tai Chi Course, you will be guided by highly experienced and skilled Tai Chi master, Mark Henry, who has dedicated his life to mastering this art form. The course is structured to provide a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge, practical exercises, and personalized guidance to ensure you reach your fullest potential in Tai Chi.
Step into a world of grace and movement with our senior ballet class, Silver Swan Ballet. Tailored for mature individuals, this class invites you to explore the enchanting realm of ballet at a comfortable pace. Led by a skilled instructor, you’ll discover the joy of dance while enhancing flexibility, balance, and posture in a welcoming and supportive environment. Ballet shoes required.
