Filmed over 30 years, Caroline Kaye’s intimate documentary tells a story of Jewish immigration that is both familiar and entirely new. This is the story of a Greek family’s odyssey to America, about how history is preserved and lost, and about what it means to land as a Sephardic Jew in the overwhelmingly Ashkenazic world of New York in the 20th Century.

Told through archival video and (literal!) threads of memory, Left Lane Straight is a film that celebrates a unique family as they define what it means to belong and how to find home.
